The Off Road Radio Association (ORRA) is a service focus group of the AAWDC. It was formed to assist the AAWDC membership base in complying with the regulatory requirements of the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) when using two way radios.

The objectives of ORRA are to:
  • Provide two-way radio communication licences on behalf of ICASA to paid-up members of clubs affiliated to the AAWDC.
  • Promote the use of radio licenses amongst the AAWDC membership base.
  • Liaise and negotiate with ICASA on annual licences and radio frequencies.
  • Handle objectively technical queries on radio’s and frequencies from members.
  • Investigate and present off road frequencies to best suit the AAWDC membership base.

The Off-Road Radio Association issues mainly 29MHz and VHF radio licenses. The application forms and administration of the off road radio licences is handled by the ORRA Administrator.

Should you wish to apply for a radio license, and you are a paid-up member of a club affiliated to the AAWDC, please download the document below. Return the completed form together with your proof of payment to either the email address or fax number listed above.
